Nakita is a nationally board-certified Educational Diagnostician, with experience in multiple states. Nakita holds a Master of Education in Special Education from Lamar University. With over 14 years of classroom experience and extensive training in academic and cognitive assessment, she provides high-quality psychoeducational evaluations that deliver clarity, direction, and meaningful next steps for families and school teams.
Known for her compassion, patience, and clear communication, Nakita ensures that every family feels informed and supported throughout the evaluation process. She prioritizes accessible explanations and practical recommendations so parents and educators understand each child’s unique learning profile and how to best support their success.
Before transitioning into diagnostics, Nakita served as a grade-level Team Lead, contributed to curriculum alignment, led professional development, and participated in campus improvement and equity committees. She is also a proud member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
By combining deep instructional expertise with specialized assessment skills, Nakita is dedicated to providing evaluations that are thorough, accurate, and grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Shanna LeCount is an Educational Diagnostician with more than twelve years of experience supporting students, families, and school divisions. Her career began in dual-immersion and multilingual classrooms, where she developed a strong understanding of language acquisition and the diverse needs of students. After earning her Education Specialist Credential and working in special education, she transitioned into diagnostic work to provide comprehensive, strengths-based evaluations that inform effective supports and interventions.
Shanna brings advanced expertise in autism, dyslexia, and multilingual education, along with certifications in Linda Mood Bell and Project GLAD methodologies and endorsements in Autism and English as a Second Language. Her background includes teaching and licensure in two states, leading districtwide professional development, writing curriculum, and serving as the inaugural Educational Diagnostician for a local school division, where she established diagnostic procedures and collaborative systems.
She is currently expanding her leadership skills through William & Mary’s Educational Leadership program as she prepares to pursue her PhD. Whether partnering with families or collaborating with school teams, Shanna aims to use her experience and training to help students access the support they need to thrive. She looks forward to working with you to create meaningful pathways to student success.
Sydney is a certified Speech Language Pathologist and the Owner of Wave of Words Speech and Language Therapy, LLC. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Longwood University in 2020. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Virginia. After graduation, Sydney began her career in the public school system, serving preschool through 8th grade students. She has experience providing both in-person and virtual therapy and is passionate about delivering accessible, individualized care to each child she serves.
